The primary bedroom is fitted with a canopy queen-size bed and chest of drawers. The secondary bedroom is fitted with another queen bed and a chest of drawers. Lastly, the third bedroom has two single beds and a nightstand. ☆☆ BATHROOM ☆☆ There is one full bathroom in this home located centrally to the bedrooms with a combo shower and tub. Worry about nothing with this thoughtfully stocked bathroom that provides everything you need and more. ☆☆ KITCHEN ☆☆ An organized and thoughtfully laid out kitchen, is fully equipped with all the appliances, utensils and cookware you need to feel at home. we had a great stay here! it was an amazing view. it was nice and quiet. A prefect little getaway, will stay again!
Wonderful views and cozy
The cabin was smaller than expected. The floors were extremely creaky and uneven. The TV in the bedroom was not working. The door to one of the bedrooms would not shut & the ceiling fan was broken. Additionally, we did not have hot water in the cabin for the first 4 days of our stay. When we contacted the host, she wanted us to try & adjust/reset the tankless water heater ourselves, which did not resolve the issue, so the host scheduled a plumber to come out the next day. When the plumbers arrived, they were at the cabin for 9 hours the first day. After installing 2 replacement tankless water heaters, they still could not get the hot water to work. The plumbers contacted the host, and it was decided that they would come back the next day and install an actual hot water tank. After spending 5 hours working at the cabin the next day, they were finally able to get the hot water working. For this extreme inconvenience, the host only refunded us for one day of our stay! Horrible experience!
Definitely a place to allow you to get away. It is remote so make sure you are comfortable being away. You aren't necessarily going to "run out real quick" and it is a decent ride to get to the house. For us, that is what we wanted. It is a slight drive to some of the "Hocking Hills" features (Ash Cave was about 30 mins) that you will want to account for, but the home itself is its own retreat. We honestly were able to stay at the house most of the time. The home is not massive, but we were able to stay as a family of six with no issues. The owners have set the house up very efficiently and created a very cozy feel. The area immediately surrounding the home is quiet, but there are various homes nearby. Access to the lake was a huge plus and it is only a short walk away. The patio was really nice to have and we even enjoyed meandering around the yard. The hosts were also some of the best we've had. You can tell they take their role seriously but also were not intrusive.
Great stay at the Monarch Lane! It had everything we needed, it was cozy and quaint. Short drives to the caves and hiking trails.
