Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway in the Scenic Rim Located a short 90 minutes’ drive from Brisbane and the Gold Coast and nestled amongst the Border Ranges in the Scenic Rim (named in the Lonely Planet as one of the World’s Top 10 Places to Visit in 2022), our fully self-contained house is located a good distance from neighbours on a quiet, cattle grazing property, but still close to various national parks and water holes. The 3-bedroom house (2 bedrooms, each with Queen size beds; and 1 bedroom with 2 Single beds) comfortably caters for up to 6 people, and includes a modern kitchen, huge dining and living area, along with ample space outside for relaxing and entertaining. Guests can take advantage of the nearby heritage-listed hiking trails at Mt Barney, Mt Maroon and surrounds, followed by a relaxing soak in our glorious bath overlooking spectacular mountain scenery while sipping a glass of wine (available for purchase locally made Barney Creek wine). There is a trampoline for the kids and plenty of board games and TV/DVD for entertainment, as well as an indoor fireplace (and outdoor firepit) for toasting marshmallows. Feel free to cook up a storm in the fully equipped kitchen or take advantage of the BBQ on the deck. Get away from the hustle and bustle and truly relax in this beautifully situated country retreat. Spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and rural countryside and a short distance to national parks and water holes. You will likely see a large range of native wildlife both on or around the property, including kangaroos, wallabies, koalas and more.
