Really enjoyed our stay at Pumphouse cottage. A beautiful place to unwind and reset from the busy city life. From an exclusive dam with a canoe, to the braai area next to the vineyards with the most beautiful sunsets - created an all round amazing experience. There is also a restaurant on the property which offers great options for breakfast and lunch. Marinda was an excellent host, readily available to respond and even gifted us with a great bottle of local wine from the vineyards. Would recommend if you’re looking for a relaxing weekend with your significant other!
We had a fantastic stay on Southhill farm! I highly recommend this cottage for a romantic getaway. Friendly, helpful staff and beautiful surroundings. Elgin has so much to offer to keep you entertained! We will definitely be back!

Enjoy luxury farm-style accommodation for the whole family in our six-bedroom Guesthouse, a romantic stay at our Pumphouse Honeymoon cottage or a fun-filled escape on the water’s edge in our brand-new Boat House. All accommodation at South Hill is 4-star accredited with self-catering finishes, underfloor heating, cosy fireplaces, and a powerful generator to keep the lights on during load shedding. Orders for meals and platters can be placed at the restaurant to enjoy privately during your stay. THE GUESTHOUSE has six luxurious and spacious en-suite rooms with king size beds, large baths and showers and an open-plan living-dining space for 12 guests. The rooms overlook the farm’s indigenous gardens, lawns, vineyards and the 15m swimming pool. Additional beds can be arranged for children on request. THE HONEYMOON PUMPHOUSE overlooking the farm irrigation dam and Kogelberg mountains is a secluded, intimate one-bedroom cottage for two. Complete with private jacuzzi, king size bed and large bath and shower, it’s the perfect place to celebrate an anniversary or romantic weekend away. Our off-the-grid self-catering BOAT HOUSE moored on the banks of our largest dam is ideal for fun-filled escape on the water’s edge. Cool off in the clean water during summer and curl up by the fireside playing boardgames in cooler weather with a group of friends or family. Three cabins sleep 8 guests – 4 adults and 4 children – or 6 adults.
