自我介绍

Hi there, we were both born in Canberra and have lived here most of our lives. We think it is a great place to live and work. We especially enjoy the parks and open spaces, the range of places to eat out and how easy it is to get around the city. We both have a strong interest in the environment, current affairs and travel. Felicity enjoys her food and Scott enjoys his sport. Our decision to become Airbnb hosts was in a large part inspired by our backpacking around Europe in the early 90s. As much as possible we stayed in private residences with a local, which in those days was arranged through the local tourism office. We found that by staying with a local we gained a much greater appreciation of the location and culture than if we stayed in a hotel or youth hostel. We also enjoyed the hospitality and welcome that only a local can provide. We aim to replicate the positive experiences we enjoyed while travelling through Europe by providing a clean, comfortable and welcoming place with a little local knowledge. Since then we have travelled and stayed in private accommodation in Australia, particularly in Tasmania and Melbourne. We aim to bring you the best of these experiences. In addition to hosting our Airbnb guests we love to hang out with our kids, dogs, chickens and rabbits! We can also be found each weekend at the local growers markets buying the freshest produce in town.
