Lovely house, easy to find, good instructions and responsive host. We found it very easy to access the town centre as the bus stop is just around the corner. Local shop, pizza place, Chinese and fish and chips in walking distance. EV charger a bonus!
House was lovely & exactly as described . Everything was spotless except oven grill that was full of grease so we had to clean before we used it. Host was very helpful and responded to booking requests promptly. I would recommend any one looking to book out of the city to book this house as it so peaceful and perfect for 5 people to stay . Beds were all comfortable . Plenty of facilities to make your stay perfect .

Enjoy staying in this peaceful 3 bedroom house with its own driveway in a quiet residential area situated in Foxwood. Foxwood is just 10 minutes from York city centre and only 5 minutes away from the famous York Racecourse. The location is also close to the A1237 providing easy access from the main A64 and if you're travelling in by car from the M1 or A1 motorways.
Local to the home, there is a newsagent, Co-Op Express food store, fish and chip shop, Pizza and Chinese takeaway. The nearest supermarket is a Lidl 1 mile away on Thanet Road. Alternatively, there is a large Tesco Extra Supermarket 2 miles away (5 mins by car).
You'll be approx. 2-3 miles (10-15 minutes by car/cab) from the city centre just 5-10 minutes away from the famous York Racecourse. York University is also easily accessible via the ring road and within 15 minutes by car.

Parking - The driveway can accommodate 1 car and there is free on-street parking for one more car directly outside the house.
Getting around is very easy by car or taxi as you'll be located close to the main ring road and direct routes into the city centre, it's just 5-10 minutes away. There is also plenty of parking options in the city if you're going to be driving yourself around.
Buses - A bus stop exists just around the corner on the main road and there are frequent direct buses into the city centre throughout the day from early until late.
Trains - York train station is just 5-10 minutes away by taxi.
