Get away from it all! Unwind & disconnect completely from our busy/ distracted civilization, & connect again w/ the importance of quiet reflection in nature (cell/ internet is not at the home, but is a short walk away). The house is on a knoll, tucked in an old growth forest w/ gorgeous mountain views through the treetops. Curl up inside w/ a book, or take a stroll through the woods on the hiking trail down to the designated firepit/picnic area on the rushing North Prong of the Lewis Fork Creek. The home has 12ft vaulted ceilings throughout (which allows the space for the loft queen bed). The main level features a queen bedroom, full bath with shower, a well-supplied kitchenette, living area with wall fireplace (with TV/ DVD player above for movies) w/ a sliding glass door out to the deck pace to enjoy the views and sound of the nearby babbling brook.

Lovely place to stay!
Our stay in the tiny house was wonderful! The space was beautiful, open, and full of character. Every detail was thought out and it was easy to see the thought and care that was put into every inch of The Sommer Haus! This was the perfect home away from home during our visit. We highly recommend this place and encourage people to experience tiny living! Thank you so much for a great stay!

This stay was exactly what I needed. My goal was to get away from everyone and everything. Pros: Secluded Lots of amenities included in a small space Bathroom very functional The gas fireplace heats up the place nicely There is a manual on the coffee table that tells you everything you need to know Fully stocked kitchen Fast response time Nice pillows Hot water Things to look out for: Super dark- I got there late at night and had a hard time seeing to get in No extra blankets - if your partner is a blanket hog, bring a spare The AC units are a little loud but nothing you can do about this Raw wood everywhere - bring tweezers for splinters and watch out for your clothes getting snagged Firm memory foam beds hurt my back Loft bed is too big for the frame so you might roll off the mattress Overall, amazing stay. I would stay here again. Nothing above is a deal breaker, just things to know before you go.

The house is in a secluded area 30 minutes from Boone, West Jefferson, and Wilkesboro, 2 miles off the Blue Ridge Parkway. On the 11 acres, but very far away, down in the valley is another long-time vacation rental called "Stargazer". Those Stargazer guests have full access to the entire 11 acres (except the upper area where the tiny house is, and the designated Moriah Knoll creekside lounge/ firepit/ picnic area).
Plenty of parking at the tiny house. Using our directions, guests go past the "Stargazer" sign to the separate gated entrance to the tiny house.
