This was my first time traveling alone and to the island and Gino (Derek) went above and beyond. Gino made me feel at home! His place is clean and so beautiful. It is also close to downtown Hilo and takes less than 15 minutes to get to. Gino did warn me about the noise as his home is by the main road. I didn’t have any issues with this as I am from the city, however, if you are sensitive to noise, keep this in mind when booking. Gino does offer ear plugs that are in the room if needed! All in all, Gino is such a kind man who simply enjoys meeting people!!! Not to mention, Mr. Biggie (Gino’s pup) who will steal your heart within the first few seconds of meeting him! I would definitely recommend Gino’s bnb and I look forward to coming back!
