We had a great stay in Hanok Dokchae. The location is ideal for us to walk to both palaces, Korean Folk museums, and with so many cafes, restaurants, and shops nearby, we did not use the subway or bus. Traveling with an elderly parent, we wanted to pick a place where there are no steps to the house and all the doors internally access via courtyard. However, the door to the living room was not used due to the high step door. Otherwise, we had a great family stay with a central kitchen for gathering and using the living room and bedroom for sleeping. Lots of Korean dishware and mugs. The bathroom is separated with the toilet in the front where main entrance is. Shower next to kitchen. Nice warm shower with great water pressure. We do have to look for a few things or ask host. Overall, We had a cozy stay.

i booked this because i wanted to experience a hanok style place. it is exactly as beautiful in the pictures! there are attractions, restos, and cafes in walking distance. the neighborhood is quiet and accessible thru bus. the place is clean when i arrived and comfortable. i came in a cold season and the hanok is quite cold. good thing there are these portable warmers and i slept nicely. i enjoyed using the projector and dyson airwrap as well. just note that the toilet is separate from the main house. but it has bidet! so all good to me. i really enjoyed exploring the places nearby. thank you to the host for being responsive!
