Fitzwilliam apartments are superbly located in the Queens Quarter of South Belfast, an area which is famous for its leafy suburban atmosphere despite its close proximity to the city centre.
The Queens Quarter neighbourhood is rich in culture. Queens University, Botanic Gardens and the Ulster Museum are a 2 minute walk away. Also close by are The Crescent Arts Centre, Queens Film Theatre, The Empire Music Hall and Belfast’s Lyric Theatre.
There is a fantastic selection of eateries in Queens Quarter, you’ll find an abundance of coffee shops, cafes, restaurants and takeaway food outlets. The popular Barking Dog Restaurant, Deane’s at Queens restaurant and Holohan's Pantry are all just a few minutes walk away.
For more casual fayre try The Pocket Coffee Shop right on your doorstep, or Maggie Mays Stranmillis Café and Kurrito, Tribal Burger, Spinx or Boojum on nearby Botanic Avenue.
The bars and nightlife of Shaftesbury Square and Dublin Road including Lavery’s Gin Palace and Alibi nightclub are an 8 minute walk from the apartment.
A 15 minute walk, or a short public transport journey will take you to the heart of Belfast City Centre where attractions include City Hall, The Grand Opera House, the Waterfront Hall and St Georges Market.
A 20 minute walk will take you to the Cathedral Quarter, a vibrant hub of restaurants and nightlife with many bars having live music performances. Some good bars to try are the Duke of York, the Spaniard, The Dirty Onion or BABEL. This area also has excellent restaurants to choose from. Our favourites include Hadskis, Coppi and Taylor & Clay.
Just beyond the City Centre in Belfast Titanic Quarter you’ll find the SSE Arena and the Titanic Museum.
On street parking is available at Fitzwilliam apartments but can be busy on weekdays. Own transport is not essential in this location as lots of amenities and attractions are within easy walking distance and public transport links are excellent.
