We feel we stumbled upon a hidden gem when we stayed at The Maple. The hosts were incredibly responsive and very kind. The house was immaculate: very clean, very modern, we didn't want to leave! The game room is fantastic: pool table, dart board, small basketball net, and washers to play outside. The great thing is the game room is disconnected from the main house so the kids can sleep while the parents play (or the kids can play while the parents get away from screaming kids:). There is a kayak provided that both my kids went out on 2 days in a row. This was a great bonus. There's a firepit with wood and a Traeger grill all set up to use. We grilled two nights in a row. And there are deer all over the quiet neighborhood. No exaggeration: we saw 30 our first day there. My kids loved it:) There are multiple waterfront parks in the area: one walkable, another just a short 4 minute drive. We went here for the eclipse, but will try to find another excuse to visit again.
