Forget your worries in this spacious and serene garden room with private bathroom in our family home, complete with peeks of the sea. Golf at nearby Formosa Golf Course, stroll to Shelly Bay Beach in 4 minutes, get active in nearby regional parks, or skip the motorway traffic and ferry to Auckland CBD from Pine Harbour Marina (5 min drive). No dolphins gauranteed, but it has happened! Prefer to stay in? Perfect! Our guests love to sit on the balcony in the trees and enjoy the sounds of nature. This room is externally accessible from the balcony overlooking the garden, and features a comfortable queen bed and enough space to do handstands. You'll enjoy the high ceilings and beautiful polished rimu floors, which are native to NZ (and now protected). In this space, you can enjoy a seaview out two west facing windows, and from the end of the balcony where we have placed a small table for outdoor dining. The south facing french doors offer serene views of the trees and garden. There are plenty of visiting native birds, and if you're lucky, you might discover the NZ Weta. The private attached bathroom (featuring shower, vanity and toilet) and one set of french doors look over a brick courtyard close to our front door. It is not visible to the road or neighboring properties, however, there are privacy blinds for your use to screen from people accessing our home entrance. The shower, in our humble opinion, offers the best water pressure in all of Beachlands. On the internal wall, this room sits back to back with our home office and spare bedroom. The home office does get used on weekdays during working hours. The spare room is occasionally used by visiting family or friends. This room helps to provide separation and space between the Airbnb and our personal living spaces. There is no kitchen, but guests are welcome to make use of the basic amenities in the room including fridge, jug, toaster, microwave, plates, bowls, glasses, and basic utensils. We offer tea, coffee, and sugar. There is olive oil, salt and pepper. You can BBQ outside or avoid cooking for your stay (no judgement here!). A plastic basin on top of the fridge can be used to clean kitchenware, or if we are home, pop it at our front door, and we are happy to do this for you. Portacot available on request.
