Relax and enjoy this peaceful and centrally-located family home in historic Dorset, Vermont. Come and spend your summer listening to the sounds of the Mettawee River just steps from your door. 3 bedroom house with pullout couch comfortably sleeps 5-6 people. Located on famed Lower Hollow Road, just 5 minutes to Dorset and 15 minutes to Manchester Center resturants and shopping. Rental sits on 3.5 acres on highly desired Lower Hollow Road in Dorset and includes a barn with a game room (ping pong and fooze ball) and private hiking trails. Included are all linens, central air (except in the basement), whole house generator, and a high speed ChargePoint Home Flex. In the surrounding area: ATTRACTIONS: Dorset Quarry, Lye Brook Falls, Emerald Lake State Park, Merrick Farm, Hildene, the estate of Abraham Lincoln’s son Robert, The American Museum of Fly Fishing, the Southern Vermont Arts Center, Mount Equinox, Equinox Preservation Trust, Northshire Bookstore, Manchester Hot Glass, and more. This place was beautiful, quiet, and relaxing. Great gardens, big lawns, Solo stove, and a creek at the edge of the property. We spent a lot of time on the deck grilling. Played frisbee during the day and ping pong and foosball at night, in the barn. The village of Dorset is close enough to bike to, and has cute shops, a town green, and coffee at the Dorset Bakery. We had a good dinner at the Inn (Barrows House) at the end of the road. The house itself had a comfortable layout, lots of room, and felt new. The master bedroom was separate and the kids enjoyed having their own rooms on the second floor. One evening it was cool outside, so we used the fireplace in the main room. The downstairs room was good for a Zoom call when I needed to find a quiet spot. We will definitely return, maybe even later this summer, hopefully for a longer stay. Highly recommended. Hannah’s home offered our family a perfect Southern VT experience! The beautiful brookside setting was able to give us a sense of peace and privacy yet we were close enough to town to give us easy access to every convenience. The road the house is even great for walking! The interior of the house is cozy and clean and has a really nice vibe- A sincerely lovely spot for our family to return to after a day spent spring skiing, a hike at Equinox, or the one rainy day we spent shopping in Manchester! The common spaces (inside and out) are welcoming and comfortable, and each of us had a lovely room of our own to retreat to when needed. We opened the glass doors in the primary suite and fell asleep to actual nature sounds instead of having to use our app! The beds are all super comfy and the kitchen was flawlessly equipped- We can’t wait to come back here for some summer afternoons to play bad mitten in the gorgeous yard and nap by the water. Hannah was a super friendly and responsive host!

Welcome to our wonderful home in historic Dorset, Vermont. We have been coming to Vermont for over 8-years and visit year round. Although we live in another state, we have professional property managers who help care for and maintain the house when we are away. In addition to the other ammenities listed, we have high speed WiFi throughout the house, central air, a full house generator, and an EV charging station.
