We had a lovely stay and wish it were longer! The home was beautifully decorated, comfy beds and pillows and a spacious private yard- perfect for our eclipse viewing! We also skied at Jay Peak (40 min away), and Owl’s Head (15 min away). Montreal is 1.5 hours away and we enjoyed a fun day trip! The border control is open 24/7 and very easy to go through. Locally there is a delicious bakery, “Owl’s Bread” - highly recommend! Overall this place was very cozy and perfect for our 3 families! Some things to consider- There is only one bathroom which wasn’t a huge issue but involved some planning around showers. We enjoyed the hot tub but wished it was warmer, as it never got above 99 degrees Fahrenheit - I contacted the host and she was very responsive. It looked like maybe there was some programming/buttons we were not aware of. The host is very quick to reply and communicative and I wish I had reached out earlier about it- so definitely reach out right away if you need!

We stayed at Potton Cottage for a March Break family ski weekend. It was conveniently close to Owl’s Head ski resort! The house was clean, comfortable and peaceful with a large kitchen and bedrooms. For a three bedroom house, we would’ve liked to have more than one bathroom, but managed during our short stay. Some of the decor and wall art choices also seemed unusual for a cottage rental, but perhaps were chosen to reflect the age of the house or history of Potton. The back deck had a beautiful wooded view and the spa was easy to access in bad weather. We appreciated that our hosts Marie-Eve and Fred were in constant contact, asking if they could make our stay better!
