We‘re in the middle of the desert and even though we try our very best to create an amazing off-grid experience for you, there might be a little dust here and there and it might be a little too basic for some people. Please keep that in mind and read the description carefully prior to booking your stay.* Welcome to our secluded bungalow near near the Big Bend -an enchanting bohemian bungalow near Terlingua. Discover privacy, tranquility, and unique boho design in a mesmerizing desert scenery. Whether hiking, stargazing, or unwinding, create memories in this stylish desert oasis We designed our bungalow in a minimalistic boho approach, with small but unique decor touches that create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The highlight of the interior is the large 5-window front facing the beautiful desert sunset, providing an incredible natural light and an amazing view of the sunset that can be enjoyed throughout the bungalow. Not only does it offer full privacy in the middle of the desert, but it also features an outdoor space that includes a relaxing hammock, where you can enjoy the beautiful views and the peaceful desert ambiance. Our bungalow offers a solar panel that works during daylight, and a solar light that works at night. However, please be aware that we do not have running water or electricity. We provide a small sink, but please bring your own water to fill it up. We would also really recommend to take a shower at the Terlingua Ranch Lodge, where they also have a nice café and pool in the desert. The shower there is only 2$. You will have your own private bathroom and will be able to use a composting toilet. Please make sure to be familiar with the instructions prior to using it. Please check the weather before you arrive and it might be a good idea to bring an additional blanket if it gets cold. If you are traveling with more people, feel free to check our other bungalows, they are located on the same property about 100 yards away. So, come and experience the serenity of the desert while staying in our cozy bungalow, and make memories that will last a lifetime!

Natalie and Scott were so friendly and responded to my questions right away. The home was so cute and offered the perfect little getaway under the stars. If I want just passing through on my way across the country I would escape to here all the time.
This place was just as described. It kept us from a super windy night in a tent. A very Terlingua experience! We had sleeping bags and water. The bed was comfy, we rested well.
If you’re looking for a camping experience with some class this is the place to go! The hosts were wonderful and valued your time there. The location is incredible with beautiful views. Awesome sunrises/sunsets and if you’re lucky you can see the Milky Way! If you love nature like me then you’re choosing the right place. I would defiantly go again!

Our bungalow is located on our picturesque 5-acre property, 64 miles south of Alpine along Highway 118. This secluded retreat is just a short 25-minute drive from the historic Terlingua Ghost Town and 30 minutes from the entrance to the renowned Big Bend National Park. Conveniently, a quaint little grocery store, known as Little Burro Country Store, can be found just a 10-minute drive away and offers all the necessary provisions for an enjoyable desert dining experience. For those seeking to cool off with a refreshing dip or take a proper shower, the Terlingua Ranch Lodge, located 20 minutes away, offers access to a pool and showers for a fee ranging from $2 to $8.
