A warm welcome awaits you at this home - close enough to both the CBD and the Lake for easy access. This well established and recently renovated home comes well equipped for your stay - if you need anything not part of the listing then get in touch - we're keen to accommodate. This substantial traditional brick home has been fully renovated in keeping with the mid-century design and offers comfortable living, plenty of off-road parking, and an elevated outlook with glimpses of Lake Taupo. A welcoming reception area leads into a large lounge with plenty of space to unwind. The kitchen and dining areas are very well equipped and ready to satisfy the travelling snack right up to the the full main meal preparations. There are three generously sized bedrooms available, #1-The Ruapehu Room, #2-The Ngaurohoe Room, and #3-The Tauhara Room. Plenty of room for guests with the host living downstairs in a self contained area of the home. The three bedrooms are extremely well lit during the day with the black out curtains promoting a good nights sleep. All supplied with freshly laundered bedding and towels you only need you toothbrush to feel at home. The bathroom, toilet and shower facilities have all been renovated recently and in excellent condition. You can enjoy the morning sun with an extensive private deck to the rear of the property while taking in the last of the sun from the front deck.

Greg was a wonderful host. His place is close to everything and perfectly situated. He gave great local recommendations and seemingly anticipated any question a guest could have. It was a lovely time.

Greg was the best Airbnb host ever. 10/10 would recommend! He picked me up from the bus station and drove me around to go grocery shopping because I didn’t have a car. The apartment is super clean, spacious and you have everything there that you can wish for. You can even do your washing and Greg offered free fruits, which was really nice! Home away from home.
Extraordinary, probably a 6 Star- experience. Greg gave us useful tips to explore the region and was communicative all the time. It was a nice accommodation with every utensil we needed for the few days. Moreover he lit up the fireplace before we got home, which made us feel comfortable.

The Corner house is situated on the border of Hilltop and Tauhara. A well established part of town with much of the homes being built in the 60's-80's. There are two local retail areas of the Paetiki Shopping area and the collection of convenience stores on Taharepa Road.
The Corner House has ample off-road parking in the driveway for four cars - plus the potential for boats / camper vans etc (please enquire prior to booking).
The closest Four Square is a 5 minute walk, supermarket/launderette/lottery are a 10 minute walk, and there are at least 6 take-aways within a 10 minute walk.
We're a 1.5km walk to the lake, 1.75km to the CBD - alternatively there are local taxi companies, Uber, and the Beam scooters available.
Easy access in and out of the property when major events come to town such as the Ironman and conveniently located closer to the Taupo Motorsport Racetrack than many other properties in Taupo.
