Tonio and his apartment were fantastic. Tonio spent time to talk to us and put us in the picture regarding the apartment, facilities and surrounding area. Every question I had during the stay was answered quickly and with great information. Tonio was friendly and made us feel super welcome. He really did go above and beyond. The apartment was quiet but you step out and be straight out into a lovely little bar or cafe for refreshments and the boat rides to Valletta were only a minute away. Nice restaurants are only a few hundred yards down the road too. Apartment was a nice size and clean with a massive bed in the main bedroom. To top it off the balcony is perfect for taking in the sun and chilling out. Loved it. Thanks Tonio… you’re a Gent.

The apartment was perfect, situated right next to the marina and in close proximity to restaurants, convenience and coffee shops. Tonio was very helpful and accommodated to our needs, even letting us drop our bags off early. The apartment was in good condition and the rooms were well kept. The only reservation we had was the noise in the evening from the shops below, however this is only natural being on top of shops and wasn’t terrible. I’d definitely recommend Tonio’s apartment and hope to one day return!

We only had 3 days in Malta, so the location was absolutely ideal - we could walk all day and had so many things to do within easy reach. And it was so easy to pop back for a cup of tea or change of clothes. Or to relax for a while on the balcony looking at the fantastic view. We could park easily for free and only used the car on our last day to visit places further afield. Lovely restaurants a minute's walk away and the streets at night were magical. You can't get lost - so we wandered and explored and discovered all sorts of hidden gems. And the bigger sites - like the Fort and a ferry to Valetta were so easy and quick to get to. A perfect location for a mini break - or longer if you want to travel further around the island.

Tonio was a great host. He was there to greet us on arrival at the apartment and gave up his time to give us a guided tour of the local area...which is a beautiful and historic setting. The view from the apartment over the harbour is stunning and the local water taxi service to Valletta is just across the road. The apartment is spotlessly clean and comfortable, the only drawback being some noise from the street cafes directly below the apartment. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay amr Tonio's and were glad to have chosen Birgu for our stay rather than the more touristic and crowded Valetta. Many thanks to you Tonio!

Tonio is een geweldige gastheer die zeer proactief en attent was. Hij heeft zelfs met ons een rondleiding door de stad gemaakt. De accommodatie is ruim en zeer schoon met een geweldig uizicht op de haven. Het appartement bevindt zich aan de levendige boulevard in de buurt van leuke restaurants en historische gebouwen. Kortom, alle ingrediënten voor een fijne vakantie.
