Perfectly magical and cosy hideaway. Loved the extra touches such as a welcome pack including fresh eggs from the hens and delicious local apple juice. The dressing gowns kept us cosy in the evening as did the snuggly blankets and sleeping bags . Well stocked with games, books and art supplies too which my daughter enjoyed. Mary was on hand to welcome us and say hello and tell us a little abpit the hostory of the caravan.

This is a wonderful and peaceful place. The caravan is spacious and full of games, books and general stuff to keep everyone entertained. Garden is just fabulous and the wildlife flourishes. This is a very child friendly place with lots of space for kids to run around and lots of things to do without having to leave the comfortable space…and you have chickens as your neighbours. Location is ideal for exploring nearby places & attractions and / or you can just walk to Longford which is a stunning place.

I chose to stay at Willow caravan as a solo traveller on a 'writing retreat'. After narrowing my search and focussing on quirky properties within a 2-hour drive from my home, in a quiet, peaceful location, within my budget range, Willow was the obvious choice. Willow has a fascinating history, having been one woman's home since new before finding her way to Mary. With the unseasonably inclement weather I experienced, I can confirm she is cosy, comfortable, watertight and draft-free!! The seating area is really comfortable and provides a great view of the garden and her 3-sided windows make the space very light and airy. The main bed is extremely comfortable - I slept like a log, despite nights of gale-force winds! I also found the space completely conducive for creative activities - I wrote 30 pages of my novel, crocheted, clay modelled and read throughout my 6-day stay. Mary is a wonderful host - on-hand to respond promptly to any queries I had, but also leaving me to enjoy the peace and solitude Willow offers! I had the 'Bluebells' (hens) for company - I also enjoyed their eggs!! Generous breakfast provisions in Willow on arrival included fresh eggs, milk, bread, and a selection of cereals. Treats included some local ciders and Lindt chocolates! Willow has a small, equipped cooking space (I cooked all my meals here during my stay), fridge and microwave, with a utility room housing a washing machine and dryer, a sink for washing up, shower and toilet just a few steps back up the garden. Willow also has electricity, a great DAB radio and heater! Her position in the lower garden gives you complete privacy to enjoy the garden and the view out to the field beyond. Although this was predominantly a writing holiday for me, I did enjoy walking out into the countryside direct from the property, and this is also a great location to base yourself to visit other attractions in the area: I visited Glastonbury, about 1/2 hour away and Bath is also not too far. I'd thoroughly recommend staying at Willow, whether it's a creative break you are looking for, or to enjoy the surrounding countryside/local attractions.

We have just got home and are already missing this lovely peaceful haven. The caravan is in a great location for lots of lovely walks and easy to reach the nearest town. We’ve loved enjoying the outdoor space, painting and having the chickens as neighbours. The caravan and kitchen/bathroom area has everything you could need and the breakfast supplies (including fresh eggs) and refreshments Mary left for us were a real treat. We hope we can return again soon.
