Secluded, clean, tidy and safe for the single traveller, student or business person. Bathroom is shared only if other room is booked. Kitchenette with microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee machine. Main kitchen facilities negotiable for the right person- must respect our equipment. Cooking basics only or we provide meals. Hewitts Homestead is a 136 years old, 399m2 homestead which has been refurbished to a high quality. Built in 1888 it is a stunning example of NZ history. We are a family run business and value your support by booking with us. We both also work full time in other positions. Please contact me before booking if you would like to bring animals or friends to visit for the day (see house manual). The bathroom is private only for guests. The toilet is seperate from the bathroom. There is one other downstairs single room that may be booked along with your room, if you have others that you are travelling with, and they would use a seperate bathroom. There are also two Queen bedrooms upstairs along with this single room which could be booked and these guests would share the same bathroom.
