Welcome to the Hawley Trails Cabin! A stylish, 3BR/2BA mountainside log cabin, a 5-minute drive to Berkshire East/Thunder Mt, and the Deerfield river. Relax on the wraparound deck with seasonal mountain views or roast 'mallows at the firepit. In the cooler months get cozy by the pellet stove. Easy access to skiing (truly great snowmaking!) and Mt biking, zip lining, Mt coaster, rafting/tubing, and fly fishing. Less than 30min from I-91, you'll be relaxing in the mountains in no time! We may be new to hosting, but the cabin isn't and it's ready to go! This property was previously called the Hawley Haus and had great reviews. Fortunately, we have been able to retain the core crew that kept this property ticking over with high standards! We have also already made property updates (bathroom refresh upstairs, keyless entry, etc) and will continue to add to this special place. We live in western Mass and are an avid outdoors family, don't hesitate to reach out with any questions you may have, we look forward to hosting you! At the cabin, relax and enjoy the airy and open living space and dining room. Large glass windows and door look onto the expansive, wrap-around deck complete with a gas grill, great for outdoor dining and quiet evenings with seasonal mountain views. The comfortable chairs on the covered side deck are a great place to catch the first morning rays of sun while enjoying a cup of coffee or tea. The kitchen is fully equipped including a double oven, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker and french press, tea kettle, and full-sized fridge (sorry, no dishwasher, though it's on the wish list for the future!). Sit down to eat with your friends and family at the large dining room table and enjoy the cozy glow from the pellet stove. Sleep soundly after a long day of adventures in a king-sized bed in the downstairs master bedroom with ensuite. There is a quiet office/flex space off of the kitchen with high-speed internet, a full-sized air mattress is provided and can be set up here if more beds are needed. The two upstairs bedrooms, both with queen-sized beds (and one with a TV!), share another full bath. Roast marshmallows at the firepit and relax in the Adirondack chairs before your next day of outdoor adventures. A washer and dryer are available in the basement. Expensive 'toys' (looking at you, Mt bikers!) may be stored in the basement for safekeeping during your stay (please hose off outside first!). Sorry, no pets allowed. Strictly no smoking. For the less adventurous in your crew, we are a short drive to Shelburne Falls (enjoy the Bridge of Flowers and great restaurants!), and the Dirt Church Brewery has just opened 6 minutes away! We are also close to Mohawk and Kenneth Dubuque State Forests. Art and entertainment abound as well. Berkshire East often has great local musicians at their cozy restaurant The Crazy Horse Bar & Grill (closed during the 'shoulder' seasons between the ski and Mt bike happenings). The MASS MoCA is half an hour away (enjoy 'popular music, contemporary dance, alternative cabaret, world music dance parties, outdoor silent films with live music, documentaries, avant-garde theater, and music festivals'). Tanglewood, home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, is an hour away and offers a wide array of exceptional musical talent (I truly mean wide: think Bozy II Men, Jon Bastiste, Brandi Carlie, as well as string quartets). If you're checking out on a Sunday, consider heading home this way to partake in one of their Sunday afternoon performances on the lawn. Being on the mountain offers many advantages, enjoy being surrounded by nature but be ready for a steep driveway! Easy parking for 4-6 cars. Not from here?
