This is a unique barn loft space with spectacular sunsets & views in every direction. Located down a rough track & surrounded by stunning countryside walks & bike trails. The cosy loft is a perfect peaceful space to relax. There are comfortable beds & a well equipped kitchenette. The loft has direct access to a private garden area with bbq. There is also internal space ideal to store / work on mountain bikes, a drying rack or washing line for wet clothes & access to a hose & bike stand. Upstairs the space consists of a sitting room with a dining area, a balcony overlooking the garden, a small galley kitchen, a bunkhouse style bedroom with 3 beds, 2 singles & 1 very small double. Please note that the kitchen area is opens up into the bedroom space. Downstairs is a small bathroom, a utility room for wet gear & enough space to work on bikes if required. A bike stand & hose are also available for guests to use. Outside there is parking for 2 cars, a lovely private garden with BBQ & seating....& some free-range chickens! Please be aware that this is a barn, so expect rustic charm rather than pristine!

Beautiful place and amazing host! Perfect for a calm and quiet getaway. It is in a great location for walks and also handy for Lock of the Lowes where we did some bird watching. Me and my girlfriend had such a lovely time here. The place is brilliant, it is so peaceful. Olive was the best! She was so responsive whenever I messaged and she kindly gave us a lift to the train station. Thank you Olive!
The loft was beautiful, be assured it is off the beaten path, but was wonderful. Olive and her family could not have been more helpful. I would highly recommend staying here, if your looking for peace & quiet.
Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt bei Olive rundum genossen. Das Haus liegt wunderschön und abseits im Grünen. Man kann direkt vom Haus aus herrliche Spaziergänge machen oder den Garten geniessen. Die Unterkunft hat eine solide Grundausrüstung und ist charmant eingerichtet. Luxus sollte man nicht erwarten, aber der würde zu diesem Ort auch nicht passen. Für uns war es gemütlich und perfekt. Wer im Badezimmer warme Füsse braucht, sollte Pantoffeln mitbringen. Olive ist eine sehr aufmerksame Gastgeberin und hat uns gute Ausflugstipps gegeben.
The accommodation is quirky and slightly unconventional, which is exactly what I like, and the location is fantastic. Definitely off the beaten track and great if you like wild birds, red squirrels and panoramic views.
Olive's barn was charming and full of character. The views were spectacular, the setting was very pretty. You can walk to the local town in about 20 minutes. We really enjoyed staying here watching the wildlife, the stars and the views. It is the perfect place to relax and get away from it all. Thoroughly recommend.
