Located on the first floor of a single-family house this lovely apartment can comfortably fit 5 guests in 2 bedrooms equipped with a queen bed each and a sofa bed. The entrance is shared with the owners of the building but you will have the entire place to yourself. Styled with lots of colorful decorations, adorned by calming colors and 5-star bedding the pink bedroom is a delight to the eye and a preferred getaway for children and adults. Elegant coffee table with chairs accompanied by an inviting couch make for the perfect setting for coffee and tea during the day with fresh mountain air coming in from the balcony. The white bedroom is connected to the open-plan living room with a kitchen and provides ample storage space for guests’ belongings. With small pot plants scattered all over the place and the personal touch of a loving host beaming from every little detail you will barely feel like ever leaving this fascinating space. Books and guides of all kinds are to be found in every room and continuous WiFi connection will leave you no chance to get bored. The comfy day bed also serves to accommodate additional guests or simply for kicking back with a glass of wine enjoying the panorama out the window. Gather around the dining table to feast on the delicious home-cooked meals. Appointed with anything you might need in case you are in the mood for cooking up a storm the lovely kitchen has a refrigerator, stove, cooking top, coffee maker, microwave, and all the necessary cook- and silverware. Grab a cup of warm coffee and wander to the balcony to enjoy the divine view of the mountains and let it take you away from stress and worries. Stop by the sparkling clean bathroom to relax body and soul in the bathtub. A completely separate toilet assures comfort for everyone no matter the need. There’s free parking on the premise. Tucked away from the city’s hustle and bustle, right next to the beautiful Bohinj lake amidst pristine nature and breathtaking scenery. A haven of peace offering endless opportunities for entertainment and a warm and cozy embrace to come back to after a long day - a true home away from home.

The place was perfect for a couple of days in Ribcev Laz, near the lake. And in a beautiful part of the country
Very clean, warm and well-equipped place. The only inconvenience for us was that only one bedroom is fully separated, the second is part of kitchen/dining area. We also did not succeed in locking the sliding door to the toilet. Beware nearest supermarket is closed on Sundays and holidays, but there is a great hamburger restaurant nearby.
Just a few steps from the beautiful Bohinj lake living in a spatious well equipped appartment! Natalja is also a very friendly and helpful host who gave a lot of helpful advice, helped us with our travel logistics when we had some unexpected changes. Thank you very much!

Jut a couple of meters away from a supermarket, bus stop, Tourist information and a pretty good restaurant you will find everything for the traveler at hand. In the near vicinity, yet more fine restaurants await you.
Besides everything else, this charming house has a great location for exploring the park since Ribčev Laz is on the crossroad of the numerous scenic routes in the area. You can find it all here - skiing, hiking, dining, picturesque mountain tops, and the magical Bohinj lake.
Ribčev Laz itself is a settlement in the Municipality of Bohinj in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia. Most of the settlement consists of hotels and holiday homes. The local church dedicated to John the Baptist stands just outside the settlement on the lake shore. It is built in a west-east orientation and is surrounded by an old cemetery wall with two entrances. Its origins are Romanesque but it was rebuilt in Gothic style in the 15th century and vaulted in the early 16th century when some of the frescos were painted by Jernej of Loka. A second church, built in the mid-18th century and dedicated to the Holy Spirit, stands by the road on the way to the far side of the lake.
Lake Bohinj is the largest permanent lake in Slovenia. It is located within the Bohinj Valley of the Julian Alps and is part of Triglav National Park. It is a glacial lake dammed by a moraine. As found out by Belsazar Hacquet in the 18th century, much more water leaves Lake Bohinj than enters it, which is explained with subterranean sources of water. The clear waters are the habitat of brown trout, burbot, European chub, common minnow, and Arctic char, eight genera of mollusks, as well as of numerous algae species. It is a popular day trippers' destination for swimming and other water sports. On the shore is a statue of the legendary Goldhorn (Zlatorog) chamois, whose story was perpetuated by the poet Rudolf Baumbach.
The easiest way to get to Lake Bohinj is by car. It is about 30km to Lake Bled 30 km, 68km to Kranjska Gora, and 83km to Ljubljana. You can take a direct bus from Ljubljana to Lake Bled, and then take a second bus to Lake Bohinj. You can get to Bohinj lake even by train, from Jasenice and Nova Gorica. The closest train station is the one is Bohinjska Bistrica which is about 6.5 km from Ribčev Laz and about 11.5 km from Bohinj Zlatorog / Ukanc at the far end of the lake. From the train station in Bohinjska Bistrica you will have to either walk or take a bus or taxi to get to Lake Bohinj. If you are not up for hassling with bus and train timetable, you have organized day trips to Lake Bled and Bohinj most weekdays during the summer season. You can rent sailing boats, canoes, kayak, mountain bikes at the lake. In the winter, Vogel is a popular skiing area. As mentioned above, the cable car to the top of the mountain runs from Ukanc.
