Besides for a small hiccup at the beginning it all worked out and got the issues resolved very fast. Would recommend shaded oaks and will stay with them again.

Overall, the stay was good. It is important to know that the Airbnb is located directly above the complex’s leasing office. We brought our two dogs and we received complaints about them barking for long periods of time, including throughout the night. Our dogs did bark, as dogs do, while we were gone for a couple hours, but they did not bark throughout the night as the neighbor/leasing office told our host. We were with our dogs 90% of the time while we were on this trip. The host acting swiftly and was a great mediator between us and the leasing office. If you decide to visit this Airbnb, know that the host is a professional and is extremely helpful, but the neighbors may not be as welcoming to your pups and are sensitive to noise.

The host gave good instructions, but the actual apartment room was hard to find - it is right above the leasing office. The room overall looked clean, but we saw a cockroach in the bedroom. We notified the host and he said he was going to have pest control get in there. The smoke alarms also were going off every 60 seconds so we ended up taking the batteries out. Overall, the host responded quickly, but it did take a while after I said there was a cockroach. It was 30 minutes from Galveston and about 30 minutes to Houston.
