The Lake Street House is a centrally located lovely 4 bedroom home that's walking distance to the ferry, lake, beaches, shops and grocery stores. If you stay here, you don't need a car, (but there’s plenty of parking if you bring one). The beds, sheets and towels are new and the kitchen has everything you need. It's not a high-end fancy rental; if that’s what you want, we get it, but perhaps skip this one. But if you don’t mind a few wonky dining room chairs and an oddly placed shower, read on. The Lake Street House is a 4 bedroom three-ish* bathroom house. The first floor has the kitchen, living room, dining room (with the wonky chairs) and a lovely breezy sun porch. This floor also has the oddly placed shower, a toilet and a great pantry for food storage and prep. The kitchen is great for people who like to cook on vacation: there’s an air fryer, KitchenAid mixer, blender, garlic press, zester grater, toaster, toaster oven, lots of pots and pans, lots of knives and cutting boards, and a drip coffee maker. The oven and stove are new and the microwave is fast. This is a kitchen you can truly cook a great meal in. But don’t worry. If you don’t like to cook or don’t want to, there are gobs of restaurants in walking distance, including the notorious Black Dog Tavern. The bedrooms are on the second floor along with a full bathroom. There are three queen beds and one full bed. The basement of the house has a half bath with a shower next to it, a washer and dryer, a small office workspace and a TV watching area. The front porch has a lovely porch swing and the back yard has a picnic table, a fire pit and plenty of visiting wild turkeys. At the Lake Street House, the wifi connection is fast, the water pressure is strong (and hot even after multiple post-beach showers) and you will feel the good vibes and love when you stay here. Just, please don’t complain about the wonky dining room table chairs or the oddly placed shower 😊. We'll replace them eventually. But right now, we kinda like the quirkiness. *The bathrooms: The basement has a half bath with a shower right next to it. The first floor has a little itty-bitty room with a toilet and a shower right next to it. The second floor has a full bath that includes, toilet, sink and bathtub; the bathtub has a shower hose attachment. Lake Tashmoo is a 10 minute stroll from the house; beautiful sunsets! Owenpark town beach is an easy 12 minute walk and tennis/pickle ball is less than an 8 minute walk. Groceries, book stores, cafes, resturants and the ferry are all within a 10 to 12 minute walk. We provide all linens, including bath and beach towels, sheets, blankets and pillows.
