First, we actually ended up staying in the apple suite on the opposite end of the same property. We received a call at 2:30 the day we were to arrive stating the previous renters had trashed the bee suite so badly the management would not be able to get it cleaned in time. Devin, the property manager communicated well and got us set up in the apple suite. It is up a set of old wooden steps that are not going to be accessible for everyone. The property was clean and spacious with linens provided. The couch is extremely uncomfortable. The door to the property needs to be fixed. You can see daylight coming under it and it sounds like the cars on the street are in the room with you. We pulled the heavy kitchen table in front of it for added security. There is also noise from the event space of the cidery which is located directly below the apple suite (which is why we originally booked the bee suite on the other end of the building). Fun site if you are in to cider.
First off let me start by saying the rental management company does not seem to be the reason for my bad review, from what I have been told it was more the owner. I booked this property two weeks before my trip. I received confirmation and paid in full. I was traveling from Ohio with two toddlers, a total of about 7.5 hours. I was going to reach the property a half hr before check in. I reached out to see if I could check in early. I was then told by Evolve to message the owner to see if it could be accommodated. Well the owner stated they had no knowledge of a booking for my stay and that the property was not, and would not be ready, and neither would either of the other apartments. Evolve promptly contacted me when the owner canceled, gave me specific dates and times the owner was notified about my booking. So according to Evolve the owner straight lied about not knowing about the reservation. They even told me they sent a last reminder THAT SAME morning to the owner.
It is okay for the value. Kitchen could use oven mitts and a toaster would be nice. Bathroom has no plug and also only provided 1 towel per guest, we stayed for 4 days, there should really be more towels, especially since there is no washer/dryer. Also, since there is only one bathroom I would suggest adding a mirror to at least one of the bedrooms.
Nice quiet place close to many stores and places to eat. Host was very nice and always answered our questions.
