My family spent many happy summers at our beach cottage in nearby Aucoot Cove, where we learned to catch clams, fish off the jetty, sail and just have fun together as a family. I still love to catch and cook up some stuffies or head to the nearest fish market for fresh swordfish or cod. Add some corn on the cob and you've got a great meal. Or, head out to some of the best restaurants around: Oxford Creamery is famous for their fried fish, clams and ice cream. They are just minutes away on Route 6. Or check out the excellent raw bar/restaurant in Marion — the Brew Fish Bar & Eatery. The Black Whale in New Bedford is on the waterfront and serves up delicious food and drinks.
