Quiet neighborhood with only two neighbors and a church. This is a ranching community with horses and cows as the other neighbors. Lots of birds singing, and deer occasionally walk through the property.

The road next to this home goes straight south to the main part of Deer Lodge. We have one traffic light in town, in fact it is the only light in the county! Being a small town, everything is close by. There is a small airport, a golf course and walking trails around the town. Also, a community garden, historic theater, Live Theater, library, drug store, dispensary store, hardware store, tire store, a made in Montana store and two antique stores. Several museums including the Old Montana Prison & Auto Museum Complex and the Grant-Kohrs Ranch National Historic Site just a mile away.
If you have always dreamed of driving a pair of horses, we can make your dream come true - that is our other business close by. In fact, you might see us taking our students around the field in front of the house.
If you like to explore ghost towns, there are several in the area - one is only about 30 miles away (that is a guess on mileage) Others can be found for an easy day trip. Montana has several hot springs - one of my favorites is Boulder Hot Springs - about 50 miles away. There is one closer is not open to day soaking anymore.
Montana hosts many amazing features that I will be happy to tell you about when you get here.
Deer Lodge is a fascinating historic town, and within an easy trip to Butte, Missoula, Helena, all about an hour away. And there are other interesting small towns within an hour's drive.
We are about an hour away from Georgetown Lake and Discovery Ski Mountain.
The Deer Lodge Medical Center is less than a half mile away and has The River Rock Cafe, one of the nicest places to eat breakfast or lunch - believe it or not. We do have a few places to eat in town, a couple national chain hamburger or sandwich places, and several restaurants and casinos in town. Yes, there are bars too and a Tap Room. For churches you have many choices.
There are many fun community events in town - way too many to list. You can find most of them at the Chamber of Commerce website.
