We had a fantastic stay at The Lily Pod! Everything about our stay was perfect. A beautiful setting and a cosy and clean cabin with great facilities! We felt very warmly welcomed and Suzi was a great host, giving us fab recommendations for the local area. We hope to be back soon and couldn’t recommend more!!

Lovely place to stay with beautiful surroundings. Host gave great recommendations recommendations for walks and restaurants. The pod had everything we needed and was perfect for a relaxing break!

We had the most wonderful, peaceful stay at The Lily Pod. The location was divine, I loved sitting outside listening to the water, hearing the birds tweet, with the chiminea lit and the sun coming down. Suzi had blankets you could wrap up in when outside too! Although there was no oven, we enjoyed having a bbq one evening and my partner was easily able to cook a lovely meal on the hob another evening. We went on lots of lovely walks locally. One was Criffel which is a pretty steep mountain which can be done from the doorstep. We also did a coastal walk from Rockcliffe to Sandyhills which was divine in the sunshine. Suzi was brilliant, always on hand to answer any questions and was there to greet us when we couldn’t quite spot the pod. The bed was super comfy, the shower was lovely and overall cleanliness was great. We even had a go in the rowing boat which provided some laughs! I would recommend The Back Street in Dumfries if you like gastro authentic food. Thank you!

Had a great stay here for my partner's birthday. I had asked if Suzi could arrange some birthday decorations and cake etc to help celebrate, Suzi went out of her way to ensure the the items were there ready for our check in. The pod was absolutely spotless and such an amazing spot, quiet enough to feel away from the world but just a short drive to local amenities. We are now looking to book again in a few months! Thanks again for hosting us for an amazing weekend.

Suzi and Alistair were the perfect hosts. Even before the day they provided us with the instructions including pictures as to how to get to the chalet. Alistair was very kind to walk out on a rainy and cold night to help us to get to the chalet and help with our things. The chalet was perfect for us and our kid, we all had our wellies on (thanks to Suzi for the fair warning given the incessant rains) and enjoyed every bit of our stay here. We had a friendly “chat” with the friendly and curious cattle when the weather allowed it. And spotted wee little duckling at the pond in front of us. The view of the pond with the mountains in the backdrop is a dream to wake up to. Suzi helped us with a lot of advice around the activities going on around and places to visit. Hoping to return some other day to spend a few more quiet days in this lovely place, with nothing but nature and farm and animals. Thanks for letting us stay Suzi and Alistair.
