We saw this apartment had a dryer when we booked the apartment and chose this one over more cost-effective apartments. However, on the night of check-in, I found that the washing machine has no drying function and there was no other dryer. I contacted Haris and he told me that the drying rack on the balcony is the dryer. I took a screenshot of the information on the dryer on his listing page, and he replied that the information is wrong and that there was nothing he could do about it. We should mention that although he listed English as his language, he could only talk to us with translation softwares and it was extremely challenging to communicate. From the first night, half of the lights in the living room were broken and it was too dim to read. The coffee table had no surface. There was no bedside table on one side of the bed in a bedroom. When I was about to sleep, I found that there was only one quilt on the two beds. That night, two of us had to squeeze into one set of bedding. The whole house has two bathrooms and only one water heater. The first person to take a shower would not have enough hot water, let alone a second person. The shower switch could barely be turned, and the drain was clogged. Very soon, the shower water would cover our ankles. There are no kitchen knives in the kitchen, the only small frying pan is broken and the dishwasher does not work. I could ignore these issues if I was staying for a few days, but our booking was for months. As I'm working remotely and need an apartment to live in, I contacted Haris in hope of fixing the issues, but he didn't respond to anything since the second night we moved in and all through the third day. Finally, I told him that his apartment does not meet the listing information and lacks many basic amenities, and that if these weren't resolved, we could contact Airbnb for a refund and check out. At last he replied, but instead of solving the problems, he complained that he didn't receive the full rent so had no money for repairs (buying light bulbs and fixing plastic water pipes for the dishwasher). We explained that we paid as per Airbnb policy and expressed our understanding of his difficulties. We proposed that if he could try to apply for a change in payment method if this was what he needed, and offered to immediately pay the entire amount for the next few months upon confirmation. On the fourth day, he said that Airbnb did not agree to a change in payment method. He asked us to cancel our Airbnb booking for the next few months and pay him the rent privately. He said that only after receiving our money would he repair the living room lights and dishwasher. Of course, we could not do that as it would be a breach of Airbnb contract and an unethical act. We had no choice but to report the situation to Airbnb Support. The support team asked us how we wanted to resolve this. We said that as long as these problems can be solved, we were still willing to live here. As I have just settled in with my many, many belongings for a long-term stay, I was unwilling to move since I did not possess all that time and energy to move and work at the same time. However, after more back-and-forth with Haris, he still insisted that we bypass Airbnb and pay him the rent privately, otherwise he would not solve anything. There was truly no other way at this point. We had to ask Airbnb to help us change apartments according to their policies and refund the full amount. We are so grateful to the Airbnb team! Also a small story. When we checked in, there were some residual expired condiments and leftover toiletries from the previous guests in the kitchen and bathroom cabinets. I threw them into a garbage bag when I cleaned them up. Haris actually messaged me to ask where those things were two days after we checked out. Very funny.

Everything was very good and comfortable. Nice view from balcony on the city. Haris was so nice and helpful
