Family of 4 with two teenage boys staying, Emma was amazing host providing lots of information for the local area and no question was too small for her. We used the hot tub which wad great fun for the family and it was nice a private due to the area, instructions were clear and starter kit (chargeable) was provided with additional wood at reasonable price per tub. Area was great to explore, we visited chocolate making place, activity centre, ventured to Carlisle when it was wet for cinema. The house itself was very spacious, lots of seating areas for chilling at night. Really well stocked kitchen with everything needed. bedrooms were great, one super kingsize which was amazing for us and then a double and twin room. We hope to be back in the future.

Lovely spot for a short break. Nice views, peaceful setting and Emma is a very friendly and responsive host, we appreciated the excellent communications and recommendations. The hot tub was a fun thing for all the family. Easy access to Lockerbie for shopping (the Butchery is great!) and also the train to Edinburgh or Glasgow. Highly recommend a train ride to Edinburgh especially if you have a Family and Friends Railcard - it's a bargain and so much better than driving. Nice walks around. I had work to do at Dob's Linn so went there for a day (beware the potholed A708!). Also nice routes in the Forest of Ae. Thanks Emma for a very pleasant stay.

We had an absolutely lovely stay at the cottage, it's so well appointed and feels fresh and clean. The lounge is the perfect place to relax! We'd definitely book again
