What a fabulous setting, Scout the Boston was captivated by the alpacas, as I was with the evening long shadows. Comfortable, beautiful Pendle Cottage. Throughly enjoyed our stay, plenty of room next time I’ll bring some friends. Thanks Gayle for accommodating Scout! We will be back for sure!!!

The property was very relaxing. The building had loads of character and the view out to the inquisitive Alpacas (or Lamas) was pretty cool.

Pendle Cottage was perfect for my husband, our dog and I for a little getaway from the city. Our dog enjoyed the fully enclosed backyard and watching the alpacas on the other side of the fence. The house was cosy and fitting with the vibe of the town. It was 35 degrees both days but the air con was fantastic at keeping us cool. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others.

Authentic farmhouse cottage . The alpacas and corellas are a plus 😊Comfortable and nicely furnished. Peaceful surroundings . We are happy to have chosen this listing for our stopover in York.

Very nice cottage. Great for a peaceful break with the added attraction of alpaca to feed and observe. Great secure grassed back yard so that dog is safe. The alpaca are visible through a picket fence but wander their area as they please and didn’t cause an issue with the dog. Inside is a slate looking floor, easy to sweep and cool for the dog to lay on.
