Ron’s Knik Glacier Views is a brand-new private guest suite with spectacular views of the Knik Glacier and River. Includes 120-acres of Alaskan wilderness with 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen, living room, sleeps 6. The accommodations include a walk out, wrap-around balcony. The 1250 sqft suite is the entire 2nd floor of my home. It is accessed by its own staircase and balcony. A private 3-mile hiking trail takes you to 5500 ft. Wildlife includes moose, bear, birds. 60-minutes from Anchorage The custom-built home has an open living space with couch, dining table and chairs, full kitchen and TV. Bedroom #1 (Glacier View) has a queen bed; Bedroom #2 has a queen bed; and Bedroom #3 has two full size beds. The shared bath has a shower, toilet and vanity/sink. The walk out deck offers a spectacular view of the Knik River Valley and the Knik Glacier. Relax on the deck and cook your favorites on the gas grill. A private, 3-mile hiking trail begins on my property and takes you to elevations of 5500 feet in the Chugach Mountains. The south boundary of my property is surrounded by miles of National Forest. The Mat-Su Valley has numerous outdoor, scenic, and historic opportunities. We are 60 minutes from Anchorage and 20 minutes from Palmer.

Rons place truly had $1 million dollar views. It had everything you could need. I can’t wait to visit again.
The location was a lot more beautiful than the pictures. Though the weather was overcast for the two days we were there, the property was stunning nonetheless. Ron was very responsive and friendly. He guided us on where to go and how to spot wildlife in the area. We were missing our dog Zoey who was back in Chicago, so when we got to spend time with his dog Cooper, we were over the moon. The rooms are clean and beds comfortable. Lots of stuff to do nearby. We will definitely come back and stay here, next time am back in Alaska.
Hands down one of the best Airbnb’s I have stayed at. Place is very clean, Ron is a great host and a wealth of knowledge and recommendations. The view is incredible and the house is a great location to explore all of the wonderful things Alaska has to offer. Can’t go wrong booking here.

We had an incredible stay at Ron’s. He is a great host- very kind and a great communicator- and we enjoyed sharing in conversation in the backyard. The location is very special. We spent hours each day admiring the amazing beauty outside our window. It is a great place for peace and rest. Everything is very clean, comfortable, and quiet. We enjoyed cooking meals in the well-stocked kitchen, gazing from the table and couch at the mountains, river valley, and Knik Glacier, and peaceful sleep in the comfortable bedrooms. We felt like we were at a special retreat to disconnect from the busyness of the world. We are already dreaming about when we will hopefully return.

You will need your own transportation via car/truck to get to my property. I have hard surfaced, maintained roads. The private drive offers private parking for up to 2 vehicles, located right at the base of the entry stairs to the suite.
Look for the 2 small boulders on the left side of my house. That is the guest parking.
My property is easily accessible off the Old Glen Highway and Knik River Road near Palmer, Alaska.

I grew up in the Midwest and in 2015 purchased 120 acres near Palmer, Alaska. I moved to the property in 2016 and began clearing the land to build my home. I have been a contractor and worked in construction for more than 45 years. My home is custom built by me and overlooks the beautiful Knik River Valley with a spectacular view of the Knik Glacier and surrounding mountains. The upper level of my home is the three-bedroom suite of Ron’s Knik Glacier View AirBNB. I have been an outdoorsman all my life and am an avid hunter. I’m now living my dream of being in Alaska full time to appreciate the beauty and natural resources of this great state. Although I’m new to the state of Alaska I’m committed to bringing you a wonderful experience during your stay. I know you will enjoy my beautiful property.
