Bay State Village is a friendly, safe, walkable neighborhood where people wave "hi" and children play in the street. It is a 1.5-2 mile walk to Smith College and downtown Northampton along house-lined streets or the Mill River walking trail, or 1 mile to downtown Florence. Guests can drive to downtown Northampton and park in the parking garage where the first hour is free.
There is a swimming hole in the Mill River 2 blocks away, with in-town walking trails nearby.
Valley Bike Share with pedal assist bikes has a new bike station at the end of the block, along with our one neighborhood restaurant (Pho Boston) and you can easily get to the bike path that will take you by farm fields and converted mill buildings. The house has a shed that guests can use for your own bikes. There are miles of walking trails nearby to take your dogs to.

This location is best served by car or bike. Plenty of free parking. There is an ebike station at the end of the block and a shed to lock up bikes. The residential neighborhood is delightfully walkable.
