Our stay at Hill Ross Homestead was incredible. The guest home is as described and pictured; immaculate, well-appointed and perfectly designed. Our family of 4 (two young boys) particularly enjoyed the backyard play structures (the hosts even pulled out a beloved see-saw for our kids), swing, and river on the property. We also benefited from the enormous recreational soccer fields nearby and larger playground. The location is within walking distance of book stores and bagels for the kids as well as so many great attractions: museums, butterfly center, easy meadow strolls...we could have spent more than our 5 days. We would love to return and see the property in different seasons.

The place is exactly as pictured - beautifully designed, clean and comfortable. The beds were comfortable, and the space was lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Jacqueline and our guest house was perfect. Every detail was thoughtful from the kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms and living room. Jacqueline's interior design is pitch perfect with great ambient lighting, soft music playing and cozy details including good bedding, blankets and pillows. In the bunk room, she even set it up for guests traveling with young ones with the most precious collection of picture books. We used the guest house while visiting our daughter at Smith. It is so close to campus! It's also down the street from Florence and the truly epic Pie Bar which is perfect for a breakfast run if you don't want to scamble the farm-fresh eggs that Jacqueline leaves in your guest house fridge.

A most impressive rental! Host provided extremely clear instructions for access - was personally present when we arrived and greeted me by name - nice! The host also provided a thorough guide to area amenities - restaurants, museums, parks - so much to do, will need to return! The unit was TOTALLY equipped - including such niceties that are often overlooked: all small appliances, wraps, bags, soap, shampoo; we asked for a griddle and it appeared in 10 minutes! The refrigerator included seltzer, butter, milk, cheese, eggs, and yogurt for us. In addition, we were welcomed with a personal note and gifts of wine and coffee! The unit was extremely kid-friendly, including many books, toys, stuffed animals, and even children’s dishes. The grounds include a private furnished patio, including fire pit, and yard, including a full playground. A well-located property - there are playing fields immediately adjacent - 5 minutes to Florence and 10 minutes to Northampton.
