We had a lovely peaceful stay, the garden was great for our dog along with awesome local walks straight from the cottage and the Internet connection was great for my remote working during our stay. We will definitely be back!

The location of this cottage is absolutely perfect for people who love the outdoors and some price and quiet! It’s close enough to the city center that if we need to, it’s just a quick trip too! It has a fenced in yard and is just a short walk from a trail head. We had some family with us and they were able to rent her other cottage just a few minutes down the path nearby. The living and main bedroom overlook their Christmas tree farm ❤️ Julie has been lovely and very responsive and our children have really loved meeting and playing with her kids as well! Such a lovely stay before moving into our long term rental! Would recommend!

Julie's place is a rare gem ! It is located a little outside the bustling Inverness city center (albeit still accessible by car within a 10 min drive). We were a family of 6 who absolutely enjoyed living amidst the quiet greenery of of the Scottish highlands which the property offers owing to its location. The property itself is extremely self sufficient. Julie has very thoughtfully done the place and she is a very cooperative and welcoming host. The welcome basket was a delight with a selection of wines, honey, cookies and bread to name a few! We reached late in the evening but had no problems checking in. The kitchen has everything you would need to prepare small meals- cutlery, crockery, oil, salt, pepper and other spices. There were other ingredients too such as rice, pasta and sauces etc. to name a few. There is one bathroom between 3 rooms. One of the rooms is slightly smaller than the others but has a sofa bed which can comfortably sleep 2 people. All the rooms are very well lit and ventilated. We also enjoyed the fire place in the living room which was well stocked. We just had to light it and fuel it with cut woods which also Julie had provided in a jute basket. The sofas can be stretched and we enjoyed relaxing in them with the fire lit and some old movies playing on the telly. There are games as well- we enjoyed playing Monopoly one evening. Near the property, there are a number of nature trails which we enjoyed exploring after a lovely lunch we had outside in the patio. The village department store is a 7 min drive by the beautiful sea side. The Inverness city center itself is enjoyable, especially the Victorian market. We also explored Loch ness by car which is a 30 min drive from the property. All in all the entire place and the our experience is a 5 star undoubtedly and we hope to come back soon !
