Setting A large fully fenced garden surrounds the property which sits adjacent to an old walled garden at the back of the house and has a gate with direct access to the hill. A soft seating area with fire pit and a wood fired hot tub complete this idyllic tableau. Fabulous stay in Inverness! We had a lovely time and cannot wait to return. Would recommend.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Glenview. The cottage had such a homely feel and Gigina was always so responsive for any questions. The house manual has all the info needed. The house is the perfect mix of rural and secluded but all amenities within reach just a short drive away. The hot tub with lights in the evening feel like the perfect getaway.
The location was amazing, just out of Inverness on the banks of Loch Ness, beautiful views from the property and lots of places to go visit. the property itself was spotless, we felt like we were the first people using it. The cost is validated with the high standard of finish and linens, bathrobes etc. the wood fired hot tub was fabulous to sit in and admire the view and watch the kids play. We arrived at night and the instructions were excellent, don't think we would have found it in the dark otherwise. Would recommend!
Where you’ll be
The house is an ideal base to explore the Highlands, set midway between Loch Ness and the vibrant City of Inverness. Despite its remote location it is only 25 minutes from the Airport and 10 minutes from the nearest train station. A 5 minute drive will take you into the city centre with all its restaurants, shops and live music venues. Local grocery shops and a farm shop (Farm Ness) are all between 5 - 10 minutes away and the starting point to cruise Loch Ness at Dochgarroch is about 5 minutes. There are many restaurants to choose from and there are beautiful walks directly from the cottage through the forest and up the hill. The Great Glen Way is directly behind the cottage and the North Coast 500 is also easily accessible. Golf courses, distilleries, leisure cruises, adventure sports are all a short distance and for the more retail minded, woollen mills, tweed and cashmere shops are all over the area.
