Very nice spot for a few days break. Lovely countryside with lots to see and do. The Annex was as described and very clean and comfortable. Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming.

A great annex, very comfortable, with all you need plus extras and a very generous welcome pack. Thank you. Unfortunately we were not able to enjoy the private seating area or the wildlife pond as too much rain. But a fabulous spot to enjoy in better weather. Ellesmere is a lovely little town with walks along the canal and by the mere. It is a 30 minute walk from the annex. Chirk and Powis Castle within an easy drive.

My husband and I stayed at Moorlands Annexe for 4 nights. Joanne was very helpful and promptly replied to our messages. The annexe was modern,clean, very comfortable and set in beautiful gardens with its own mere. Ellesmere is just a few minutes drive (30 minutes walk) away where you'll find Tesco, a few shops, pubs, restaurants and the meres to walk around. If we are in the area again then we will definitely stay at Moorlands Annexe.

Moorland’s Annexe was a lovely venue to spend a relaxing week in. The picturesque backdrop of a pond filled with ducks and wildlife set the tone for an ambient ‘staycation’. Inside, the rustic interior coupled with modern furnishings made for a quaint home for the week. Welcomed into the property with a delightful hamper of edible necessities (filled with cake, bread, milk, and an assortment of jams), we felt immediately in a state of comfort. The owners (and their delightful dog, Sparky) were immensely hospitable, and ensured that we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. I can’t recommend this venue strongly enough, as it was a gorgeous delight made all the more appealing by the positive nature of Joanne, her husband, and her immensely lovely Welsh springer, Sparky. I would gladly book again just to say hello to Sparky one more time.
