we had a comfortable stay. but I felt that the property needs a few improvements. I didn't like that the house is set to 10 degrees, when we arrived it's was very cold and we had a baby with us so arriving at 6pm to a cold house was not good. setting it to 17 degrees is more suitable for this time year. the woodwork/ skirting boards within the property needs a clean. there is a cracked tile near the fire that is loose and sharp. the freezer had food left in it and is badly frozen over so couldnt really be used properly. not ideal if you were wanting to use this is a good property if you are wanting to explore to the north and south and not bad for budget.

Could be a beautiful place to stay, great location for exploring, however we were discombobulated by certain elements and the property felt neglected. Host demanded digital copy of ID to check in, with a CCTV warning - very inappropriate when verified by Air BnB. Log fire had an empty kindling bag and one log twice the size of the fire. Cold property set to 10°C and the radiator controls were missing - 2 out of 3 - so our first night was a chilly treasure hunt! Lots of empty packaging left in cupboards and messy drawers. Painting touch-ups needed, and we did notice stains. It just didn't feel well cared for which is a shame! Very functional, but needs more attention and consideration from the *host*... Clean, but not spotless enough for a £75 cleaning fee for 2 nights, no kids/pets. Park opposite is nice with a sweet river, but the town was dead with everything closed on a Saturday. Very lovely bathroom, but no privacy due to windows. Hit and miss! Bad feng shui says my autistic bf.

We used the property as a place to stay whilst visiting family so it was not part of a holiday/break. When we arrived after a 360 mile drive we were surprised that the property was cold inside and that a hoover had be left in the passage. Having made our initial family visit we returned to the property and then walked into town to find somewhere to eat. Everything was closed so we settled for a glass of wine and some fish and chips. The property sleeps 3 and we found one chipped wine glass in the cupboard. As mentioned we were not there for a well earned holiday but we would have been disappointed if we were.

Great spot near the river and a Spar down the road. Great if you're wanting to visit Tintagel castle. Washing machine was a dryer too, which was really helpful.
