Cornwall · 整套民居 · 2室3床2.0卫 · 可住4人 · Thyme at the Old Herbery - 2 Ensuite Bedrooms
A self-contained, single-level property with two ensuite bedrooms (one King and one twin) that is close to Davidstow Moor and a 10 minute drive to the popular villages of Boscastle and Tintagel. It is well placed for local walks and excursions. There is outside space to enjoy along with views to Roughtor and the moor. The land around the property is perfect for active little legs to have a good stretch - we've even got enough tarmac for bikes, skateboards and roller-skates! Thyme is light, airy and modern. The main bedroom has king-size bed and an en-suite with bath and separate shower. The second bedroom consists of two twin beds and an ensuite with a smaller shower. A large kitchen/dining/living room provides plenty of space for activities, especially if there is rainy weather.
This is our second stay here, and we are already planning a third for next year. Lara and byron are fantastic, warm and welcoming hosts. The apartment is stunning. Spacious, clean and comfortable with a bathroom to die for. Even my fussy teens love being here. The location is quiet with beautiful views, but within easy location of tintagel, Boscastle, bodmin and beyond
My favourite airbnb to date! Lara was a wonderful host. The property has a lovely homely feel with toys, books and games. Comfortable beds, cosy home, immaculate large ensuite bathrooms and a modern kitchen with all facilities. Plenty of room for the 5 of us. The dining table was beautifully set when we arrived, the cot and highchair set up appropriately. The welcome basket was totally unexpected and stunning - fresh home baked bread, variety of delicious fresh eggs, local candy and a superlative local guide book, not to mention the relaxation tea on our bed! In addition, juice, milk, butter, tea coffee, spices, paper towels and tissues were provided beyond expectation. All just a stone's throw from Tintagel. Thoroughly recommend!
Welcoming, helpful hosts, with nice touches like welcome hamper with local eggs and hand made bread. A warm, comfortable space with everything you need. Good showers and bath, with plenty of hot water. Easy to find location, with great views and good base for exploring Bodmin Moor and North coast towns. Wouldn't hesitate rebooking if staying in the area again.
A single track lane leads past the property, with direct access to the Atlantic Highway (A39) at each end. This gives quick access to Davidstow Moor and Crowdy Reservoir. Neighbours include a farm, a small cluster of cottages and sheep. Davidstow Creamery can also be seen from one end of the land along with the Cornwall at War Museum. The Old Herbery is not overlooked and has its own (rather overgrown - but slowly being tamed) grounds which guests are free to explore.
A vehicle is strongly advised for exploring the area. The 97 bus stops near the property 3 times a day in each direction and travels from Camelford to Launceston and back. Connecting buses can be taken from Launceston to Plymouth.
There is ample parking onsite for all types of vehicles. If you are towing boats, planes/gliders or bikes there is also room for these; they are parked at your own risk. The property has two entrances so you may not even need to reverse!
自我介绍
A big fan of old spaces, quirky places and everything in between. I love a property that feels like a home and has a personal touch. We've just bought our first home together - an old herbery which we hope will be our forever home. It's a bit rough around the edges, but that is what projects are all about!
