The Hondo Haus is a comfortable industrial cottage. Its great for a couple or two. Great attention to detail in this 1909 beauty.

We enjoyed our stay so much. The house was very clean and comfortable. The host was always quick to respond. We will definitely stay here again when visiting with family in the future.
We had a great time here eclipse hunting. Even though we didn't luck out on the weather the house was absolutely everything we wanted it to be.

Quiet town except for the trains that run through town. During WW2 Hondo had the largest navigation school in the world. The base closed in 1945. Military returned during Korean War. The base opened one other time in 1973 as an Air Force Flight screening program.
Hondo is the county seat for Medina County.
The Hondo Haus is located a short 40 miles west of San Antonio on Highway 90. It is south of Bandera on SH-173 about 30 miles. Take a left at the Dairy Queen (P Street) and on the next street (20th Street) take a right. The house is on the left on the corner of 20th and Q.
