Our family had a wonderful stay at Anna‘s place. The beauty of the surroundings is unmatched and we loved how peaceful and quiet it was. We were very comfortable and had everything we needed. We would love to return!

We found the house, off the beaten track, easliy after planning to arrive in daylight just to be sure. It is very spacious with high ceilings , 2 living rooms, large ktichen and bedrooms. Loved the little nook off of the kitchen for reading. Speaking of reading, what an astounding book collection, I could have spent a year reading through them all! It was very clean and kitchen and bathrooms are well appointed with everyting we needed for a comfotable stay. Recommend getting groceries prior to arrival though Bodes has the basics. We had great meals at Abiquiu Inn and Cafe Sierra Negra (also good sandwiches and cold brew at food truck behind Bodes). This quiet rural spot is full of high desert natural beauty and the deck at Anna's place is the perfect place to enjoy it.

This place was great for our vacation. Well-stocked kitchen, comfy beds and pillows, luxurious towels. We cooked and ate many meals in, were pleasantly surprised with some of the basic kitchen essentials (olive oil, spices), and made heavy use of the coffee pot: what a nice touch that she supplied tea as well! Spent as much time as we could on the deck, enjoying the views and the birds. Lots of books of various topics. We loved the bird feeders and available bird seed. So much beauty in the area, lots to do. Anna was so responsive to every question and concern we had. Though not perfect (and what is?), it was perfect for our needs. Casa Alta seems like it is a bit of a work in progress that would benefit from a few obvious tweaks, and we look forward to updates when we stay here again in the future. We do wish the internet had been more reliable, but we know there's spotty coverage everywhere in that area. Loved our stay here.

This is a wonderful house located in a peaceful, beautiful area. The house is immaculate, well appointed and welcoming. The outdoor deck commands gorgeous views over a broad valley. The night sky is amazing. We were able to see the Milky Way almost every night after the full moon. Anna was a great communicator and has an impressive collection of blues records plus a record player to listen to them! The immediate area offers the Ghost Ranch (take the landscape tour!), trailheads, Christ in the Desert Monastery and a couple of nice restaurants out on the main highway. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Casa Alta and highly recommend it to others.
