We had an awesome cross country ski weekend at John’s place. The house is amazing & very well appointed. John is an outstanding host, and the proximity to the Vasa trail can’t be beat!

We’re a family with three kids and spent 5 days around Christmas holidays in John’s place. The house is wonderful, very cozy and well furnished and equipped. It’s located right in the forest with direct access to long trails. A number of downhill skiing places within 1 hour drive, including Crystal mountain. Unfortunately there was no snow, so we could try cross country skiing in the area. John was very responsive and helpful. Overall, great experience.

This Skier’s lodge was the PERFECT place for my friends bachelor party in Traverse City. Close to down-town, yet secluded area for our private shenanigans. Beautiful place, spacious, gorgeous views, backyard with lots of fun opportunities. John made sure he was communicative throughout the days, ensuring we had no problems, while also respecting our privacy. Extremely clean with new amenities, 10/10 recommend this lodge to anyone needing a party 6-8!!

Very beautiful setting and privacy not an issue. Plenty of room for a large group. Nice outdoor spaces on the deck, patio and in the yard. Nice to have bathrooms for each room. John was very friendly and kept in good communication before and during the visit.

John was a great host. The house was very large and spacious for lots of people. We had 8 very comfortably. Large back yard and basement for hanging out with guest. Very close to traverse city and other activities near by. Would book again.
