Berwick is a medieval walled city on the river Tweed which is the border between England and Scotland .The cottage is actually built into the fortification wall that surrounds the old town .It looks out onto the river and the active port on the south side .The living room looks out on the town side - the old part of which is within easy walking distances and has multiple restaurants. The North Sea coast has many unspoiled beaches, three of them within a mile of the cottage .

Great accommodation, fantastic location, we visited Seahouses, Bamburgh, lindisfarne and Edinburgh by train. The train station 15 minutes walk away. Janet came to hello when we arrived to make sure everything was ok

Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful place. We’d been to Berwick previously but never stayed so we were so happy to find somewhere close to all the action. Beautiful view of the Tweed and the place was very well equipped. We will be back 😃

SALMON FISHERMEN CAN BE SEEN WORKING FROM THE COTTAGE , AND OCEAN GOING SHIPPING ACROSS THE ESTUARY . THERE ARE THREE BEACHES IN BERWICK . UNSPOILED COASTLINE BOTH NORTH AND SOUTH . HOLY ISLAND IS VISIBLE . THE PICTURESQUE TWEED VALLEY HAS COUNTRY ROADS SUITABLE FOR CYCLING . HADRIANS WALL WITHIN A MORNING DRIVE .
