The view is stunning, with a large terrace overlooking the sea, and a large garden with swimming pool which are maintained very regularly. Please be aware that there is no parasol or shade available in the garden (although there is one in the pictures), so the use of the garden during the day could be somehow limited. When we asked for one we were told to use the porch instead, being often windy and not trusting that we would be able to close the parasol when not in use. Also, to note is that the house is situated right on the approach to the airport runway, so you have airplanes passing over very close, which our 1 year old daughter found amusing, but it could be off putting to some. The inside of the house was a great disappointment. The house is in greatest need of a remodernisation. The beds are tiny (we slept with feet poking out) and the mattresses are old and in a bad shape (especially one of the double beds). The fridge doesn’t cool enough, and the kitchen is generally old with smelly and squeaky cabinets. The hot water tank is tiny, providing enough hot water just for 1-1.5 showers, falling way behind the needs of a place which accommodates six people. A circuit breaker kept tripping, until one night the fuse went out and we were left in the dark with no electricity until the following morning. But the worst part was the smell! The bathrooms, kitchen sink and dishwasher periodically smelt like sewage. We were unable to use the dishwasher on many days as dishes had to be re-washed by hand to remove the smell, let alone the unpleasant experience of cooking or brushing your teeth in that smell. The house was not clean when we checked in, floors were dirty and overall covered in dust. The agency sent cleaners to fix it, but only after a long patronising discussion on dust in windy locations (true if the house hadn’t been closed before our arrival). Overall, we really didn’t think it was worth the money, definitely not £400/470 euros per night! A complete rip off.
