Outstanding hospitality and a beautiful house. We felt so welcomed and at home here, perfect for our stay in Kandy. It’s not far from train station, but up a hill, so it’s easier to get a Tuktuk on the way up (5 min drive), but easy enough to walk down (10-15 min). Room and open living space were clean and comfortable, there was AC inside the room, and the bathroom was also clean! Room does face the street with cars passing by, so I’d suggest sensitive sleepers bring ear plugs. The breakfast was amazing and plentiful— we had Sri Lankan string hoppers and curry with toast, juice, fruit, and tea. Finally, the kids Sirosh and Oshini were super great and friendly—we wish them all the best! 🫰

Charmante chambre a proximité du centre de Kandy avec une grande douche, un balcon et un frigo pour avoir de l'eau toujours fraîche. Hôte au petit soin avec des bouteilles d'eau disponibles sur demande, un petit déjeuner bon et très copieux. Nous recommandons.

Beautiful host family who went above and beyond for us. The room was better than in the photos, check in was flexible, and the breakfast was great. The place is up a hill and on the side of a road, but it was perfectly located to the city centre, lake and Tooth Temple. Highly recommend for a night or two in Kandy.

The reviews are accurate about this place. If you're looking for a nice and quiet place yet within walking distance (10-15mins) to the main town area, here's the perfect place. Samantha and her kids had welcomed me with very kind hospitality and always made sure that I'm well taken care of. Bonus: They have 2 very lovely cats, which was one of the reasons I planned to stay here :)

I can’t describe in words how happy we were to meet Samantha’s family. They are superb hosts and very generous people. The way they keep their place ready for guests is remarkable. Arghh, unfortunately we didn’t know them earlier and we stayed only for another. Next time we would like to be there for longer.
