The place was great, very homely and beautiful surroundings including the beach, which our dog loved! Emily was fantastic, so well organised and even had some pain killers for us (tooth ache) 😊

What a sheer delight this cottage is. Everything about it is wonderful: it’s spacious and light, crisp and clean, warm and inviting, cosy and comfortable. It has everything one could wish for. And a fantastic base to explore the beauty of the north of Scotland, especially the coast, the beaches, the woodlands, the villages.

This place is amazing! The communication and getting in with the keybox went smoothless. Inside we were positively surprised with what we found: it's bigger then you would think based on the pictures and every room is clearly renovated in a high quality way. The kitchen is gorgeous and the view is stunning (with binoculars provided!). The welcome basket was very appreciated and also the many brochures, maps and tips on what to do in the region. Also what a divine bed and pillows, we had the best sleep! We would definitely come here again, thank you very much!

Emily was absolutely fab. checking in was a breeze and we felt very welcome. The house was excellent with the view of the beach certainly not disappointing! we would definitely stay again.

The house is clean & modernised.Nothing to say at all about the house as it’s perfect.The views are stunning and really quiet .The beach is just a few minutes down from the house(a little bit steep down & climb up though🥲).But we had our private beach as there is no one there at all for 3 times when we went down. To see the piglets are a bonus as Emily & Barry are really nice people to let us see them.My children were so happy with the house,the beach,everything….And all the ingredients you need if you are the person who loves home cook food like us.Definitely recommended & I even already recommended to my friend as well.Will definitely stay there again if I am planning to come here again. 😍😍😍

Kyle of Tongue Cottages is a family business run by us, Barry and Emily Allsop. We manage a small number of unique self-catering properties in the Kyle of Tongue area (on the far north coast of Scotland on the route of the NC500). We work really hard to ensure that all our guests have as great a stay as possible and are always delighted when guests leave a lovely review about the services we have provided. When we are not looking after our Kyle of Tongue Cottages guests, we run a small croft (smallholding) with rare breed sheep, pigs and hens . We also sell eggs, pork and lamb and wool. After booking you will be sent details of all local restaurants and attractions and also asked if you would like to pre-order any of our croft reared produce.
