Great stay !! Perfect location and cozy!

This was in a good location right near the Se Cathedral (super talented street musicians in the square), and on the same elevation level as the upper level of the Ponte Luis (bridge). There is a Morroccan restaurant across the street with amazing Tangine. The river walk area is about a 10 minute walk, Vila de Gaia across the Douro River is a short 10 minute walk with beautiful views of Porto and Vila de Gaia (park and old fortifications are great for viewing sunset). Best pasteis de nata that we had was at Castro, 5 minutes away. That same area is lined with shops and other restaurants as well.

I’ve been in Portugal for 3 weeks. Best shower by far. Location was great. I would highly recommend staying here.

Fernando’s place is very well located and is walkable to many of the attractions in Porto. The pictures on AirBnB accurately describe the apartment and Fernando is a responsive host. The reasons I could not give this place 5 Stars follow. 1) One of the other apartment units on the same floor as Fernando’s unit is being renovated and the construction noise goes on all day. 2) The only elevator in the building was not working during our visit. Fernando’s unit is on the third floor, so if you have problems with stairs this could be an issue. Also, the stairwells are not very well lit at night, which wouldn’t be a problem if the elevator worked. 3) Fernando’s shower drains slowly so you have to limit the amount of water you use in the shower or it may overflow the shower basin and flood the bathroom. Overall a well located apartment that could be 5 Stars if the issues above are remedied. Hope this review is helpful.
