Nice home. Backyard was very pretty with kayaks to use if you like. Enough space for 8 comfortably. Nice little coffee area available. Beautiful view of the lake. 10-15 min from Shipshewana.

This cottage was perfect for our family. Lots of room and well-stocked with everything we needed. Sara was super responsive and helpful. The lake is small and private. Entry to the lake is by ladder off the seawall, and I would recommend water shoes as the lake bottom (here off the pier) is very uneven and somewhat rocky. The kids had a blast. The cottage had enough kayaks for everyone. Even the 9-year-old was able to use the kayak and explore the lake. The yard, lake-side, is big and roomy enough for games. Sara provided lawn chairs, lake toys, and life vests. The picnic table provided a large umbrella, which was wonderful because it was hot! (Next time, I might bring an awning or beach umbrella for some shade closer to the water's edge.) We loved this location and this house and would not hesitate to book again!

Sara was a wonderful host. She was quick to respond to all my messages and questions. The house was as described. Everything was in working order. The lake was fun for my tween sons who enjoyed jumping off the pier and fishing. Our whole family loved going out in the kayaks. If you’re looking for a remote getaway, this is it. Lake out the back, cornfields out the front. Of note: the water is not easily accessible for the very young or old.

Sara is a great host, she checks in everyday to make sure everything okay. She answered quickly when we asked for a recommendation on where to find live bait. The pictures of the house are accurate. She provided beach towels, bath and kitchen towels and the shed is loaded with life vests, floats, chairs and other backyard toys. Our only issue, which really isn't a big one, if you have an early riser in your group everyone will know. The house is older and makes lots of noise when you move around, especially on the main floor. It's a quiet lake with lots of friendly neighbors, we had a great time!
