Arto House was very well equipped and there were lots of extra touches to make our stay comfortable such as the welcome treats, toys, bath robes and slippers which were appreciated. There were a few other things missing or broken however (possibly down to it being the end of the season.) Elizabeth was very responsive though and did her best to sort these issues out. As others have mentioned the inside of the property was generally cleaned to a high standard (except the fridge and downstairs bathroom floor) but the outside had a general air of neglect which was a shame. The position of the house is great for public transport with the train station round the corner and it was a bonus to have a bus stop literally on the doorstep. I think more of this could be made in the listing. We were able to complete parts of the coastal path easily via public transport as well as visiting 5 different beaches which the children loved. Overall we all had a lovely break at Arto House. Thank you.

Great communication from Elizabeth, House is decorated lovely, although outside windows in desperate need of a good clean, unfortunately we weren’t provided with the cleaning products that was asked for us to put in the hot tub. I think the bath mats would benefit from being rubber backed after a nasty fall and a A&E trip, so be careful in the downstairs bathroom. Great base for traveling around the area. Good well equipped kitchen. Overall good value for money.

This has to be one of nicest houses we have stayed in. It was great having use of the hot tub. Good location, easy walk to local pubs and sea front. Unfortunately on arrival we found the house had not been cleaned after previous guests. This was purely down to a miss communication. Elizabeth was very apologetic and contacted the cleaners who came within an hour and a half. They were very professional and completed the clean in a couple of hours to a very high standard. We are happy to recommended house. Welcome pack of treats was very much appreciated, thank you.

Lovely property with lots of outside seating for afternoons and evenings in the sun. Hot tub was perfect and the house was very spacious.

We have just returned from a week at Artro House. POSITIVES: The house is big, the inside is tastefully decorated, clean and tidy. Good size hot tub. The house is warm, fans are provided. NEGATIVES: GARDEN (I even spoke to Elizabeth about my concerns before I booked) I was very disappointed with the whole outdoor area. The garden (narrow strip of grass) is located very high up, not secure, and accessed via steep steps which are shared with the property next door. We didn't let the dogs onto this area as it has unfenced high drops either end, and I would not have booked had I known this. The patio area however is secure, this was not ideal for my dogs but maybe OK for others. Everything was covered in cobwebs (as previous reviews) Property is overlooked, and close to a railway line which was noisy, we only used the hot tub once because of this. The drive is shared with next door, there are roadworks currently to the front of the drive, so we struggled getting on and off (not advised).
