The apartment was obviously cleaned and looked like it had new carpet, which was nice. There was a very strong smell of cinnamon or apple of something that was overwhelming. Though clean, there were many other old dingy things, such as the shower, cabinets, kitchen dishes. The listing said the kitchen was stocked with the usual things one would expect in a kitchen, which I guess it was, but the things were all mismatched and old. The dishes in the cupboard were all quite dirty. I had to wash everything before I could use it, and that grossed me out. No tea towels to dry dishes with either. But there was an abundance of paper towels. There were two brown towels provided in the bathroom, but they shed all over me like crazy and I had to pick off brown fuzzes after each shower. There were no washcloths provided, so washing face and body was more difficult. There was no top sheet on the bed, just a bottom sheet and some folded blankets, and the old ratty thinner blanket (it was HOT and all I wanted was a top sheet) was not big enough for the bed, or for two people to share. The 2 pillows provided were super flat and practically non-existent, which made for neck aches every day. The bed was very firm, which I like. There is a light right over the door of the apartment I could not figure out how to shut off and it attracted tons of bugs every evening I came back to the apartment at night, and getting in without getting a bunch of bugs coming in was difficult. Communication was really great with Jeremy. He seemed very nice. Best part about this stay.
