Ajay is a great host and is very responsive for any queries. The places is similar to the posted pics and is maintained well with all the utilities required for a long or shorter stay. The neighbourhood is quite and safe.

Frankly, I typically don’t write bad reviews for hosts because it’s gonna affect their businesses. So here goes — and my review remains as objective as possible. This place I rented.. had issues (read negative review from first guy). I see that Ajay has other listings that have positive reviews, so I was semi confident that this place could have improved when I moved in. Eh, nope. Floor was dirty (extremely dusty), and the bed had period stains. The host mentioned he’d hired for cleaning, so I have no idea— either the cleaning done was substandard, or extremely low in effort. In addition, there was an odd smell when I first checked in. It smelled like the place was not ventilated properly. And it’s hard to ventilate the place when there were no bug nets to prevent bugs from flying in when you open the windows… so.. lol My last straw was regarding the stove. The knob (as I realised later after some freaking out), could be removed — and someone removed it and put it back in the wrong position (causing the reading to be 180 degree incorrect). I boiled water that didn’t boil (cuz, wrong reading), and freaked out when it ‘couldn’t be turned off’ (again, since the knob was pointing at wrong digits). I urgently called Ajay twice, none of which times he picked up. Sure, perhaps he’s busy, but at that point, I was scared and alone. I rushed to the neighbours’, who luckily solved the “mystery” re the knob, and turned the stove off. I’m a young person who happens to be quick-acting (looking for resources when I need). God knows what would have happened if the person who lived there was old, or not quick to respond. I could have tolerated the dirt and period stains, but the unreachability of the host + seeming danger of what could have happened to the house due to the stove situation = awful. He seemed to be a nice guy via the phone, and I tried to explain the situation to him, so I hope that before anyone moves in the next time, that things would be fixed and improved — mostly for the safety of patrons.

Place is a tiny basement, that’s extremely hot all day everyday. Bed is a tiny little uncomfortable futon, sheets were stained. Couch in picture is different now a two seater. Only chair with the table is an old computer chair. Cleaned spiders out of shower multiple times. People in the units above are extremely loud, you can hear everything, walking, toilets flush etc. They have people over / parties and are very noisy (good luck sleeping) woke up with beer cans and cigarettes outside of my door. I had it booked for multiple months but began looking for a new place instantly and moved out as soon as possible. For the price it’s not worth it long term can find a better place. Short term, a couple nights when you need sure. Pictures are deceiving.
